Effective Teaching Partners

ETP Effective Teaching Partners  This system allows teachers to collaborate, and learn from one another. I am currently working along side my mentor, where we are currently using PAT data from mathematics and reading and E-asTTle writing data. Every alternate week my ETP buddy observe how I use assessment data where there is a greater need. Feedforward and feedback is also given. Links to PTC  1, 4, 9, 11 Term 1 Wks 5 - 10

Marae Stay

Term 1 Week 6  Thursday 5th - Friday 6th March What a magnificence two days.... The students, colleagues and myself thoroughly enjoyed our over night stay at Owae Marae. This was a great chance to not only bond and build positive relationships with all students, but to also build positive and engaging relationships with colleagues, whanau and members of the local community. An eventful and fun two days were organised by the team at Manukorihi Intermediate. We all collaborated together to ensure meaningful and engaging learning would take place. I also noticed how well the staff got stuck in and worked together while we were at the Marae. This is was very important to ensure all areas were running effectively, and was shown through student engagement levels and positivity with their peers. Post Marae stay, meaningful discussions were had around our experiences at the Marae. Great ideas were brainstormed.
